The woman that looks like Kikyō asks Kagome isn't that why she's here as she offers her a bow. The woman that looks like Kikyō asks Kagome if she wants to try. A woman that looks like Kikyō tells the other women archers to prepare then tells Kagome that she's finally come. However, she still feels the pain of the jewel shards, but the memory of the Feudal Era fades noticeably until she hears an arrow hit a target. Buyo turns into Kirara and Miroku and Sango run towards her on the street and Kaede and Shippō buy a Shikon Jewel keychain from Grandpa Higurashi. However, there are many memories of the Feudal Era in the world, but all of them are overlooked. They don't know anything about "the possessive snob", as they call him. Thoughtful, she goes to school and then asks her friends if they still remember her boyfriend, which they say yes - but they mean Hōjō in order to. This now goes to the well and finds it closed and sealed. However, they do not know anything about her trips there and they also do not remember Inuyasha and think that Kagome is something off the wind. She then goes downstairs confused that she is no longer in the feudal era and asks her family when she came back from the feudal era. Kagome now hears her alarm clock and her mother's voice. Tsubaki then traps Kagome's mind in a modern era illusion. Then she sends another burst of pain to Kagome, who then passes out.
So Sango now supports Inuyasha while Miroku goes off to Tsubaki with his sutras, but both turn out to be unsuccessful. Miroku now wants to kill Tsubaki, because she will get Kagome out of the way anyway, although it would be enough if Tsubaki's snake demon were killed. So Inuyasha has to defend himself like this, but his Blades of Blood works surprisingly well, unfortunately only Tsubaki shows herself seems to be annoyed and inflicts new pain on Kagome then the huge wolf rises again and its wound heals. However, Miroku believes she will kill Kagome whether Inuyasha wins or not and joins into help him but helps very little. Tsubaki's summoned demon is still fighting the inferior Inuyasha, who is not allowed to use Tessaiga, otherwise Tsubaki would destroy Kagome instantly. Tsubaki continues with her curse on Kagome.
Inuyasha continues to struggle against Tsubaki's demon without his Tessaiga.Kagome is still under Tsubaki's spell and is subconsciously hurled into a different dimension, one where she never knew Inuyasha.
